Yep, that’s right… Mr. YouTube is giving you access to literally thousands of free Royalty Free music tracks to use on your videos.
To get access to this library, log into your YouTube Channel, click on your icon on the top right corner and click on Creator Studio.
When inside, click on Create on the left hand column. You’ll then be brought to the massive library of music available for you to use on your YouTube videos.
YouTube have also added Creative Commons music, which you can also use for free.
The difference with this music is that you’re required to include an Attribution to the artist in order to use their work.
The text for this is given to you on the page where you download the track.
If you want to avoid any confusion, just use any of the music tracks without any of the Attribution links on them.
It’s also a good idea to include the name of the track in the description, even if it’s from YouTube themselves. You never know when they may come knocking that you need to have a license for a certain track, even though they give it to you for free!
